Andrea Salami

Bio

I'm Andrea Salami, based in Cremona, Italy, and I am a developer with a passion for technology, innovation, and community engagement. As vice president of the Amici di Agropolis association, I actively contribute to initiatives that promote social inclusion and community development.

Travelling fuels my curiosity, I love exploring new cultures and landscapes, whether solo or with good company. Sports have always been a key part of my life; I’ve played football competitively and enjoy running, cycling, skiing, and trekking.

I'm deeply committed to sustainability, constantly seeking ways to minimise my environmental footprint and reduce pollution. I stay informed about politics and financial markets, and I have a strong passion for history and philosophy, subjects I explored in depth during my high school years.

As a tech enthusiast, I have expertise in both hardware and software. Whether working on Windows or macOS, I navigate seamlessly between systems. Through my diverse experiences and interests, I strive to make a meaningful impact, both in my community and beyond.

Coding Skills

I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Blockchain at Start2Impact University. With a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and frameworks like Bootstrap, I build responsive and visually appealing web interfaces. My knowledge of JavaScript allows me to create dynamic and interactive experiences, while Python helps me develop efficient scripts and backend solutions. I also work with Git for version control and collaboration.

Currently, I'm diving into Solidity, mastering the art of writing smart contracts for the Ethereum blockchain. Passionate about technology and innovation, I’m always eager to explore new programming languages and tools to expand my skill set.

Volunteering

Since 2013, I have been actively involved in a variety of roles, including staff management, public relations, event coordination, and even cooking. My dedication to social impact led me to join the board of directors of the Amici di Agropolis association, where I contribute to initiatives that promote inclusion and community development.

Since 2018, I have also been a key contributor to L'Agro ai Giovani, the largest charity festival in my city, helping to organise and support events that bring people together for a meaningful cause.

Hobbies

I'm an avid traveller and sports enthusiast. I love exploring new landscapes, embracing the diversity the world has to offer. Football, running, cycling, skiing, and trekking are my favourite ways to stay active, pushing my limits while enjoying the outdoors.

I'm constantly seeking ways to reduce my carbon footprint and live a more eco-friendly lifestyle. I firmly believe that a healthy body is key to a sharp mind, but just as important is the open-mindedness cultivated through travel, which allows us to truly understand and appreciate the world around us.
